A post!!!

I can’t believe that I have been procrastinating for three weeks without posting.  Its been crazy times.  Between training, and work, there is very little time.

Training for CMM is going really well.  I’m anxious to see the final results.  I’m about 4 lbs lighter than I was this time last month, so that should be good news for the run.  I’m so enjoying the training and its calming me beyond belief.  I’ve been told by some folks that they haven’t seen me SO relaxed in ages.  A very good thing.  This week is a long run, but i think it may be on the mill.  MOre for convienance than anything else.

Work continues to be good.  Lots of hours with lots of learning happening. Working in the lab rocks.  I can’t wait to learn more stuff back there.

Big news is that we are going to Beantown for the marathon, but most importantly to spend time with mom for easter.  (AND its Spencer’s last easter at home before he takes off for school in the fall. he’s a really cool kid, and we haven’t seen the family in ages, so its a good thing. ) ALSO, being in town for the marathon, hoping to connect with lots of people through that too.  Hope it all works out.  There is just something about being in town for marathon weekend, that is like no other city around… (except, maybe, for NY).  A bunch of RS, LCAR and WL2R folk are running…. fast folks, too.  They will do awesome!!

I promise to post more often. its just been a bit short on time!! Bound to get better… i promise.

The week that was

I’ve been bad about posting this week, but its been really nutty. I survived the week after Gasparilla, and lived to tell about it.

MOnday was my first ever massage. I think I’m going to treat myself once a month with one. Too much fun and felt way too good!! I started the workout week on Monday, actually, with a really easy 3 ish miler. Tuesday was a bit stronger, so I did more miles…. Wednesday was my first 3 am shift of the week, so I ended up doing a spin class after work in an effort to get to sleep that night before the SECOND 3 am shift on thursday. I bonked on Thursday and rested… although I did do an easy 3 miler in the CV center… MAN did I feel crappy on Friday for the 5 miler I did in our fitness center. Today was a good 6 miler, with a spin class that followed. TOmorrow.. the goal is 14. We’ll see how that goes.

WE GOT OUR BIKES TODAY! They are Trek 7300 FX Discs. THey are “hybird bikes” so that they are road bikes, and what are called comfort bikes. Can’t wait to ride them. We’ll be bringing them with us to TN, and ride in the mountains. My goal is to do a century at some point I’ll post a picture one of these days…

Dave isn’t feeling great today—-even though we want to really ride. I want to be with him when he rides for the first time to make sure he’s OK. We’ll probably go out NEXT weekend for a ride…. cannot wait for that!!
