My Running Blog and Other Stuff

... I told you that I was going to do a countdown!! 

Day 12 of 12 went well. I accomplished a lot.  Really a GREAT work day…. love days like this… productive, and i’m happy and just almost didn’t want to stop!!

Today was a rest day.  I cannot wait to do the workout tomorrow… 20 miles.  I’m psyched. HOpefully, a good time will be had..  Then on Sunday is a  10K race in Clearwater.  Although its 3 weeks to race day, I’m pushing the bubble just a bit.  I want that PR so bad it hurts, but on the flip side, I don’t want to hurt myself doing it.

Tomorrow I’ll post a better update on what is going on here; there is a bit to talk about, but after having two boddingtons with dinner, i’m just a little sleepy.

... yeah, i’m going to drive you guys nuts by posting countdowns to when we leave.  But you know, better countdown… today was day 9 of 12 straight workdays…...   but payday is thursday and that will ROCK.

Today’s workout was awesome.  Did 4 miles on the mill in 32:24 (8:06 PACE!!) and then spin. I feel SO good.  Tomorrow is going to be 8 miler on the mill.   I need these workouts so bad.. makes me feel good.  Besides, it is stress reduction to the max and i’m not eating a lot when I get home….. 

I am so excited about the London Marathon.  Almost as excited as the Chicago Marathon…..  THis is going to be SO much fun.  I’m going to go out for a long run again tomorrow,and one more the day before Easter (since I’m working on Easter Sunday)... and then start a taper of sorts. Ihave a 10K on April 1, and will probably do a 13 miler on Saturday…   I have to figure out something long between London and Chicago…. but something will come up.. I am sure. THe training has rocked and I’m feeling better than I have been in ages.

I don’t think I’ve been this excited about a vacation in ages.  The time between now and when we leave (24 days) isn’t going fast enough…....

In other news, work is still good.  Doing LOTS of extra stuff, and i’m excited about it.  It’s going to the “big boss”, and from what I understand, he is really liking what he is seeing.  I don’t think its perfect by any means, but its getting closer with tweeking.

Mom is doing good and behaving by doing all the docs are telling her.  She’s heading back to Boston in 21 days… (or technically, 20 days since today is almost done…..)

Dave is doing well, too.  He’s so excited about a whole bunch of stuff… notary stuff, computer stuff.. vacation….

Tomorrow (if I can post from work, or if not on Monday night), I’ll do a running centered post.  THere is so much going through my head right now, that i can’t think straight… 

Now… for a special report…..  The real update to follow.

I couldn’t let this past weekend go by without mentioning that its 18 years that Dave and I have been together—19 that we have met, pretty much that same weekend…..  I really can’t believe it.  The years have gone by way too quickly.  And you know, how sappy this may sound…. I love him more today than ever.  It just gets better all the time.  The hard times were made easier knowing that we’d make it through.  And we did. I cannot imagine my life without him.  I really love him more and more everyday….. 

We’re each other’s cheerleaders…. and support each other through highs and lows. 

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming….. 

Things have been so busy and there is SOOOOOOOOOOO much to blog about…  I have a little bit of time tomorrow and i will definitely blog it all. 

 Note to self:  Things to blog about:  GOOFY, GOOFY-ness for next year, DAve awesome stuff and news, Mom’s FIRST hospital visit, Gasparilla, Mom’s SECOND hospital visit… anxiously awaiting LONDON, vacation, CHICAGO and just other stuff in general.

Dave is doing really well.. Work still ROCKS.  Lots of hours, and doing lots of really cool stuff that I’m actually really proud of….  (and for me that is a rare thing.  There is still some little things that can be better, but that is just me….).
