14 days and counting
Fourteen days to go until the marathon. Only 6 more workdays…. and 2 hours on the Monday before we leave. Not sure what possesed me to do those two hours, but its the “fair” thing to do!! So, I’ll chart, leave, go to the gym for a longer workout, then be home in time to watch the boston marathon on tv and cheer on my buds…..
had an incredible run this morning… 21.75 miles (albeit not alone…) but in again, a really good time!! 3:19:54. I really think I may just make my sub 5 target. BUT who knows. I may be aiming low. London is a huge race, but again, the marathon gods need to be good for all of us, and have a great weather and i may just do it. I’m really want to have fun, and that is really what is important.
I know dave is really excited, we’re packed and ready to go. All I need to add is the shoes that i’m wearing for the race and add music to the iPod. He’s wanting to go as bad as me…
Oh yeah….. 6 days, 13 hours and 32 minutes until we drop off mom at the airport for her trip back to boston to pack up. not sure how long she’ll be there.. she needs to take her time, and has got tons to do. NAH… we’re not looking forward to “our time” being ours. We’re taking her to a really nice Easter dinner tomorrow…. dave convinced me we should do that as a final hurrah. I’m sure she’s gonna want to sleep early friday night so that we can get her bright and early the next day and off to TIA.
Other news…. we’re heading to Las Vegas mid November. We exchanged our timeshare week for a resort a little off the strip. We’re definitely heading to Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon during our stay as well as heading to LA area to see dad and Jeanne…. least we can do when we are so close by… (close … a 5 hour drive….but neither one of us has ever driven through the desert, and it should be fun….)
Oh, yeah… Chicago is exactly 6 months from today. I won’t get too excited for Chicago until london is over…... yeah, right. More good times with my LCAR and WL2R pals!!
