My Running Blog and Other Stuff

No time to write a real post.  i’ll do that over the weekend after Half Marathon 2 of 3….  but the Space Coast Half was lots of fun.  This next weekend is the Brandon Half, followed by the Madeira Beach Half.

So here we are in Vegas (baby)....  nice place.  Wouldn’t want to live here though—seems like everyone who lives here (obviously) works in a casino.  The one thing REALLY missing is the sound of quarters in the machines.  EVERYWHERE are the silly vouchers.  That is OK, though.

We went to the Hoover Dam yesterday.  AWESOME AWESOME place.  Took the more expensive tour that went to the actual tunnels of the dam.  Again, really cool.  Lots of pics were taken. Last night went to the Star Trek Experience. Very cool again.  Today, we are doing a strip day and getting ready to go to LA tomorrow to see Dad and Jeanne.

Running going OK here, all on a dreadmill.  BUt still keeping up w ith the training plan best I can.  The real test will be in two weeks with a 16 miler on Saturday, and a half on Sunday with my buddy Sid.

what a great run; pretty much a PR for the distance—by almost 10 minutes. gotta be the tnt coaches. running has always been a part of my life for ages, keeping me sane, but tnt allows me to run OUTSIDE —and along with the online groups, made running much more FUN, and with motivation from the folks thee, seeking more ambitious goals.  I’ve already lowered my goal time for Disney… 4:30 -4:45.  I think i can.. I think I can…
