My Running Blog and Other Stuff

Awesome 5K today.  Time was 26:26.  How cool is that finish time.  and sub 9:00 miles, too!! I’m pretty happy.  Having too much fun with TNT.  Really busy TNT week.  Bar Louie on Monday.  Kick off on Thursday.  First workout with new group (though a bunch of us are doing a lot more miles) on Saturday.  NEXT week, Awards Banquet for Work on Thursday.  Working the TNT table on Friday.  15K and 5K on Saturday.  Half on Sunday.  Victory dinner on Sunday night.

When did we ever get SO busy?

In other news, we are in good shape with our latest quest for Battlestar Gallatica ships.  The auction is going well….  but you know, we’re having FUN looking for the ships.

Didn’t make it out to Kennedy today.  Just didn’t seem worth it; but you know—that is OK. Its not like anyone was chasing us down to be there….. 

OK, GOOFY is over for this year.  The races went OK.  Just OK.  I was a little dehydrated for both, but ya know, tis the breaks.  I’ve already signed up for next year.

The best part of this whole experience…. TNT.  I can’t believe how great its been meeting folks, running with folks and all that jazz.  I’m SO excited to be a mentor this coming season. The folks at the info session were excited, it seemed, but we shall see what happens with trainings and the like.  P and I are going to make a great team mentoring for RnR.  He’s a really good guy.  He was even able to talk me into a mini “reunion” at a race on Saturday.  Granted, i’m going to have to run the 10K and hang out for a bit and go.  Can’t do breakfast this time around, as Dave and I are going to go to Kennedy Space Center to hang out with some Region Two folks (nah, really to see Jack ).  I’m guessing that after Gasparilla, we will probably go do something—food or something.  Not sure about Saturday yet, but pretty sure that we’ll do something.

I still can’t believe that we really are enjoying ourselves with TNT.  Got lots happening with them for a couple of weeks….  a mentor meeting mid week – an alumni reunion next Monday—- kickoff meeting next Thursday—then training kickoff on Saturday… recruiting table on friday afternoon—gasparilla weekend—bolt run with the guys two weeks later…  and so it goes.

I’m sure we’ll get involved with fleet stuff again soon.  but its gotta be the right folks at the right time. 

oh yeah.  send good vibes to dave on friday. he’s testing for a PROGRAMMING job in Lakeland.   

.... until the half begins….  Nah.  I’m not excited.  I haven’t figured out the minutes, but this is pretty close….

...time to rock and roll.  i am SO excited about these races.  i’m ready to really do well and go out there do awesome.
